Kabinet
The office reception was designed with recuperated materials sourced in Brussels by Hé-Architectuur. The execution was a collaboration of ‘Design with Sense’ for all carpentry works and ‘BC Materials’ for all rammed earth elements.
A series of prefabricated rammed earth columns mounted together on site creates the form of the reception desk, becoming a unique curved surface. In the same space a rammed earth bench was built with a custom-made book stand. The polished rammed earth bench surface exposes a terrazzo-like finish, this final step was executed on site. A protective layer of natural carnauba wax was used as the top-surface finish.
